Sabeqieh is a collection of the writings of Abdol-Ali Farmanfarmaian (1935–1973). This volume includes his four short stories (Sabeqieh, Aqim, Mahavareh and Gozargah); the charming and insightful recollections of his travels to China, the United States and Africa; and a biography by his wife Fatema Soudavar. In addition to being a literatus, Farmanafarmaian founded the largest private petrochemical company in Iran and was vice-president of the Iranian Chamber of Industries. In 1973, he was killed by an avalanche at the age of thirty-eight.
